Neil HughesNeil Hughes FCA is managing partner of Hughes Blake Chartered Accountants and has specialised in insolvency and corporate recovery for many years. In particular he has extensive experience of examinership matters and has acted as examiner on numerous occasions. He is the co-author of ‘Examinership in Practice’ and he has lectured widely on the subject of corporate recovery. He is also a regular finance commentator on both radio and in the print media. Successful recent examination cases include the Chartbusters Group, the Ely Medical Group, the Blubar and Lullymore Developments.

 

Kieran McCarthyKieran McCarthy CPA qualified as a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 1995 and as a member of the Institute of Taxation of Ireland in 1998. He worked in both industry and practice for a number of years before moving in 2000 to work in Audit and Corporate Recovery with a Big 4 firm in Dublin. Kieran was appointed partner of Hughes Blake in 2004. Kieran has successfully completed examinerships in a wide range of sectors including the construction sector, the licensed trade, restaurants and in professional sport. Successful recent examination cases include Drogheda United FC, Contech Telecommunications and the Ocean and Ivory bars.
